Windows Explorer Folder Customization Inherited From Parent Folder

Merry Christmas Gang!

I think I'm stuck on something that seems ridiculous or am I missing something. I need some good brains here to help me figure this issue out.

I have one drive that I have both Videos and Music files located on.

These two collections of "file types" have a main parent folder on the root, Videos and Music with many sub-folders.

I want to Customize each of the Parent folder "type" AND the COLUMNS I want displayed and spaced.

I "thought" by configuring the parent the way I want all the child folders to look and apply to all sub-folder would do the trick, NO DICE.

No COLUMN configuration is inherited from the parent except the default, neither is the COLUMN sizing.

Is it just me or is MS being it's typical derelict, negligent, lackadaisical self and not smart enough to actually apply all the settings to all the sub-folders like it shows in the tick block?

Have a Happy New Year Folks and TIA if ANYONE has managed to figure this out. Obviously it's makes no sense to me. Thanks!
