Help Needed discovering location of custom hot key (no shortcut found)
Greetings,
I've had the hot key combo CTRL+ALT+O in use since I was running XP on this PC.
It used to launch Outlook Express.
I upgraded to Windows 7 Pro 64 quite a while back and re assigned that hot key to launch Windows Live Mail 2011
which is wlmail.exe in the folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Live\Mail.
Of course we can't assign a "Short Cut Key" to a *.exe. > It needs to be done on a Short Cut.
There is the default short cut found in the start menu but there in nothing for "Short Cut Key" listed in the "none" box.
I've done a thorough search for a short cut to wlmail.exe but can't fine one.
I've inspected Task Scheduler and the only ones in there are ones I've created for other programs to bypass security popups.
I've searched REGEDIT for CTRL+ALT+O and no results > > > but <<< maybe I've not defined the search correctly there?
So ...
I need to discover a way of tracking down where the hot key combo CTRL+ALT+O
is actually registered in Windows so I can kill it and assign it to launch Mozilla Thunderbird.
Any thought are welcome.
Thank you!
Steve
