Customised batch re-naming of files in Windows 7 Ultimate
I'm sure this is another one of those things that's simple when you know how, but ...
Say you have a folder that contains several hundred photos. You select them all, press F2, re-name, and voila: the whole lot are re-named using the format 'Photo (1)' etc. My question is: is there any other ( reasonably straightforward ) way to control the numbering format? For example, what if I wanted the photos to be named 'Photo 001' etc.?
I feel like this is something I've come across somewhere before, but can't remember the procedure, if so. Ideally I was hoping there would be a way to do this without going into registry commands etc., and ideally without using third-party software. Does anyone have any thoughts?
