I've gotten most of it. Just need to move the password box and remove the user name.
Would you be so kind as to post how you got to that stage? That is exactly how I would like mine to look.
It's been a while since I made the mods. I'll pull my backup and modded files and check the difference in them and report back tomorrow.

I like the idea of hiding things. But this is only good for a pc with one user. What about a PC with multiple users? If there is no picture or user name displayed. How the hell are they going to be able to choose a user account to log into? I guess as a dev, I always end up asking "what if" questions.

I just added alpha fade animations to my app. You can set the "normal" state to alpha 0, so the item is visibly hidden but still actually there. So all you have to do is move your mouse over the area where the element should be and it will fade into view. SO you kinda get the effect you want without breaking the logon experience.

Would this work for you guys or do you really want no sign of those elements what so ever?

Right now my app hides the win brand and accessiblity button. I can easily code it to remove any item. I have been looking at those dayum UIFIles 24/7 for 2 weeks now. Its like the UIFile used to be a new city to me. Now I know where all the alleys, side streets, shortcuts and speed traps are. LOL

Bliz...for me, i'm trying to create (or should i say re-create) the business environment we've come accustomed to with domain XP machines...i really don't care that there is an ability to have pix for logons, but if that is the case then i want every user's logon/start menu pic to be the exact same (save for maybe the admin's logon). as far as the Windows 7 logo at the bottom, that's not terribly important to me as XP was branded as well. the accessibility button is not necessary and so could do w/out seeing it. i do however want to keep the shutdown button.

so in essence i would like to see:
logon/start menu pic to be same for every domain user that logs in (if possible domain admins could have different pic...i know...picky right?)
i've already set the background to the company logo so that's all good.
    ease of access button "hidden"
W7 verbiage "hidden" but not a big deal

i'm not really trying to go to the extent that the original poster was wanting to get to so i'll listen in to the rest of the convo
