DisableTaskbarOnTop - disable taskbar always on top

Posted a link the original version as a footnote in a post buried somewhere in another thread. It was only for the 64-bit windows. Now it's tweaked a little and there's both a 32-bit and 64-bit version.

What it does is emulate the behavior of disabling the "Always on top" option, all previous windows versions, have had for the taskbar. I've used it for around 5 weeks and it has worked fine. The only problem I know of, is that you can't properly use Show Desktop with this.

See tutorial for further instructions and downloads.

    Thank you !!!
I was looking for a way to hide the taskbar under other windows.
Hopefully microsoft won't screw us over again and
    prevent this fix from working.
(They don't like their customers changing windows to our liking.)

Isn't it much easier just to right-click on the taskbar and change it here?

what kind of a kick ass win7 version do you have where the "Always on top" checkbox is back?

Note that this isn't the auto-hide thing, it's for having the taskbar always visible but not on top of over windows, ie. if you maximize another window it covers the entire screen. This has been possible in all versions up til win7.

I understand , now, but Bill himself would say how in the Hell did you do that.

It's a kick ass tweaked system.

I realized afterwards that you maybe meant the taskbar position on the screen (top, bottom, left, right).

As for how it was done, I believe it involved sacrificing chickens, voodoo, lots of cursingchanting and running naked in the woods.. no wait that last thing was something else
