    Remap Fn key

    I have an MSI Wind 123 netbook and, for some odd reason, MSI put the Fn key to the left of the Ctrl key on the far left hand side of the bottom row. This is a real nuisance.

    Can anyone tell me how to swap functionality of the two keys, so it is consistent with my other keyboards?

    Thanks in advance.

    Not sure it will work/do what you want it to, but it's worth a try

    Doesn't work for Fn key

    Thanks for the heads up, but apparently it won't work for the Fn key. It seems that the Fn key is controlled by hardware, not the OS so there doesn't seem to be a solution for remapping.

    Unless someone can tell me otherwise.

    @Mercurial

    Just checked that app. See below:

    "Can KeyTweak affect the Fn key on my laptop? No, that key doesn't generate scancodes."

    This is the tool Microsoft uses: The Microsoft Keyboard Layout Creator
    I used it to create my own layout for Bulgarian language. I don't know for sure if it lets you edit the function keys.

    Edit: Oh, on second thought, if the Fn key doesn't have a scancode I doubt the MSKLC will be able to do anything about it. It is most likely a hardware-only key and no software solution exists.

    Yes, from what I've read, Fn is only a hardware key.
