Disappearing toolbars

Hello,
I have recently started using W7, and I am encountering the following problem:

On W7 the taskbar can be customized with user-defined toolbars. I have defined several to simplify my work. However, every so often (every 3-4 boots) my toolbars disappear, and I have to redefine them. Is anyone familiar with this problem?
Regards,

Hi,
I have not been able to find a satisfactory solution to this problem, apart from defining an AutoHotKey script to reestablish my toolbars.

I am having the same problem. I had to stop putting shortcuts on my desktop because Windows 7 will go through and delete many of them weekly...

So, I created toolbars to folders on my desktop that contain the many shortcuts I use and just as I started to get used to using the toolbars for quick access to my frequently used programs... The toolbars start disappearing at random.

I have been able to get them back with windows restore but that just seems silly. Why is the operating system removing my toolbars?

I'm so sick of the constant bugs with Windows.

Hello,
Regarding the issue at hand I can say that it has probably been recognized, judging from the fact that I recently obtained a Windows fix from Lenovo (I use a Lenovo T500) dealing with the problem of "the Windows toolbar being reset to the default value" when certain conditions are met. After installing the aforementioned fix, I have not seen the problem (up to now).

Lenovo appear to be ahead of the game then. Microsoft has a grand total of zero references to it as far as I can see!

With Windows 7 it's required that you create shortcuts a certain way or they won't work. Depending on the type of shortcut you need to make these tutorials will help you to decide which method is best. Go to the link below and click where it says short cuts upper right.

Taskbar toolbars constantly disappearing
So I've read the other threads here for trying to get your toolbars (not quicklaunch, I use my own) to stop disappearing and the advice there didn't help. Isn't there a tool or hack yet that forces Windows to behave like it should? Anyone?
