sideplaced taskbar to big, need help!

I like to have my taskbar at the side of the screen, but it's to width imo.
There was one time, the sidebar changed to the right size by itself. But after a while it went to back to "normal". Luckely i took a screenshot:

Is there any way it stays like that? i really like it that way.
thnx in advance!

Hello,

Welcome to 7 forums

You can just select the location of your Taskbar using the Taskbar properties. Please refer the below link to do the same.

thnx for the reply guys! but that wasn't what i meant actually. im sorry if i'am unclear but i meant the width of the taskbar if sideplaced. normally , its a lot wider when sideplaced, 2 times wider than the one on my screenshot. I want to have it the same way as my screenshot again. thnx in advance!

Ok now... you can Just resize the taskbar manually.

Uncheck the Option "Lock Taskbar" by right clicking the task bar. Then place the cursor near the Taskbar Edge. Just you can drag to the required width.

Ok, i checked at my end and found a small work around. Go to Taskbar Properties, under Taskbar Appearance, select - Use small icons. Then try resizing the taskbar. This could help you !!!

The icons look the same size to me. This may have to do with the resolution. Less resolution makes for a wider bar, higher resolution means it's narrower. Thats how it works for me anyway.
