    Hi and welcome.
With the little information you gave it suggests that your video card or monitor can't handle it. It may also be the amount of memory you have but I think video card.

Please fill out in your profile the details about your computer. Than t may help.

Filled out profile. Should have said that If I make a new profile the slideshow options work perfectly. They had worked correctlly in this profile for about 2 months. I think something is corrupted

Is it the same with other gadgets? If not, recommend unistall - reinstall the gadget to see if that fixes it.

If so it might be the gadget program itself... which I don't haven't a clue how to fix...

Something probably did get corrupted or erased. Did you download any major programs or anything right before you noticed this?

I had a difficult time installing the correct driver for a video capture program
    CapWiz and it's hardware.

It might have corrupted you video drivers. I'd start with reinstalling those.

Thanks all. I did everything you all suggested to no avail. I then tried a re-install of windows hat would keep my settings but that didn't work as windows said it could not write to my registry file. So I just wiped it all out and reloaded windows. I think that there were other problems as system restore would not do a restore and there were a couple of other problems that made me think the installation might be corrupt. All is well now

I hope that you are doing a clean install or all your problems plus more will return.
