Windows 7: preview desktop question

preview desktop question

so I'm running a program called rainlendar that keeps a calendar and my to-do items:

Rainlendar - Home

ideally, I would like this program to sustain when I hover over the preview desktop button, so that I can check my calendar by doing so

the program currently doesn't render properly in vista or windows 7 when I set it to always be on the desktop and I have no idea when the developers may fix this

is there a way to customize preview desktop so that it does not hide this application?

Hi Fox,
and welcome to the Seven Forums

Unfortunately at the moment the only way I know to do what you want is to package the application as a desktop gadget. This would I'm afraid be something for the developer to do but if they are not supporting Vista yet I fear it may be a long time

use aero peek to preview the desktop
I'd like to know how to 'turn off' (untick the ghosted ticked tickbox) the "use aero peek to preview the desktop" as displayed in the 'Taskbar and Start Menu Properties' pane. I don't use aero and suspect this shouldn't be ghost ticked.

Preview Desktop

Preview Desktop not working?
Hello all... I see there's an option "Preview Desktop" checked on the bottom right little bar on my taskbar, and I read somewhere that if you hover your mouse over that bar, you can "preview" the desktop without actually showing it (minimizing all windows). This doesn't work on my Windows 7...
