    Inactive Screen saver icon

    HI all
I have just had my operating system re installed by a computer repair company and I can not access the Screen Saver Icon in as it has a Red circle with a slash through it. I have rang the person who carried out the work and was told that you don't need it and would not tell me how to go about rectifing the same.
That's ok if you don't want it but I do as I would rather have the desktop change thats just my preference Needless to say that I will not be going back to them and will discourage any one from going to them as well.

    Eagerly waiting a fix.

    Regards
    Kelvin

I would say the have played around whth group policy, I have the exact same block on my school computer, if possible just go in and reset the group policy and see what happens.

Group policy is not available in Home Premium, can you post a screenshot of this red circle with a slash you're talking about.

You can try the reg fix in option one here,

Screen Saver - Enable or Disable

I'm still curious where this red circle is you're seeing though.

OK, that's in the personalization. That's normal when there is no screensaver selected for that theme.

If you can't click the words "Screen Saver" and choose one, the reg fix I posted above to enable it should allow that.
