    User Settings Transfer

I'm guessing there's a tutorial around here on this, but I can't seem to find it, so I'll ask.

Is there a way to "clone" a user account while changing it from one type to another?

I.E. I have an administrator account which I've used for a while. All of my settings are the way I like them, desktop, theme, disabled windows programs, disabled aero, etc etc.

I have now created a non-admin account to use so that I'm not using an admin account all of the time. Is there a way to tell this account to import all settings other than Adminstrator status from my administrator account.

Basically, the only thing that I want to change in the new non-admin account is the username, password and administrator status.

    Simple Windows Easy Transfer

Trasfer to a finger drive, hd etc. Then send it to the new account.

Any or problems or questions, I will try my best to help.

    Good Luck

Isn't WET for transfering settings from one computer to another?

What I want to do is simply clone a user account on the same computer.

The intent of WET is when you install a new OS, you can transfer your setting; it is so easy I suggest that you try it.

There may be another way, but that is how I would do it.

This is the closest to what I think you want, but I think, for your purposes the WET is easier

Yeah, I found that sort of method a few minutes ago. The problem is that I can only copy my Default User Profile, I can't copy my Administrator profile even if I log in from a different administrator account.

I'm just going to go through and change all of the settings manually.

Give the WET a try I used it to go from Vista to 7, very, very easy.
