    Irritating Explorer pop ups

Hi does anyone know how to disable the pop ups that occur when you hover the cursor over the start button or the minimise - restore down - close or back - forward buttons in windows explorer. For instance when i hover the mouse cursor over the close window button in explorer after a short while a small box will pop up saying "Close" Duh!

Please no suggestions to untick, show pop-up description for folder and desktop items, its has no effect on this.

This has been around forever so i think maybe this cant be done. Please prove me wrong.

    thanks.

There used to be a registry entry that we used in XP/Vista to enable/disable balloon pop ups, don't know if it would work in win 7

    Method 1
Click Start, Run and type Regedit.exe
    Navigate to the following subkey:
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ Software \ Microsoft \ Windows \ CurrentVersion \ Explorer \ Advanced

Create a new REG_DWORD (32 bit) value named EnableBalloonTips
Double-click EnableBalloonTips, and then assign a value data of 0
    Exit the Registry Editor
Log off Windows, and then log back on.

    Method 2
    Click Start and type GPEDIT.MSC
    Navigate to:
User Configuration \ Administrative Templates \ Start Menu and Taskbar

Double-click Turn off all balloon notifications and set it to Enabled
    Close Group Policy Editor
Log off Windows, and then log back on.

Thanks for the quick replies. I tried poomans suggestion but no luck I think sergiogarcia9 may be right, maybe it cant be done. Strange that microsoft removed the word START from the start button because it was confusing for some people new to computers, but left behind the stupid pop-up.
