You will need to run one my dark themes or any other theme that uses a brighter text colour otherwise you will have black text on a dark background which is not to good.

Im using your red extreme theme Mr Grim , same as the media player theme ...very nice indeed ! Was your WMP 12 that got me into changing stuff about. Made a couple already but not as good as yours.
Ok wont be able to resize the player buttons as 12265 governs the size of the layout. its the black outline around the controls. anything outside that outline gets cropped.
Need a rethink on the layout.

BASKET_BG_BOTTOM - bottom of burn menu when your press burn/sync/play button.
COMMAND_BAR_BG - 2ND from Top tool bar ( orgainize /stream/create playlist)
5401 - Very top tool bar
SPLITTER_TOP - Burn box top ( drive icon background )
YUP ive broke WMP12 a few times as well lol.
Still trying to locate bottom toolbar.

Found a bug ...kinda.
If you use a white font as i am and type in the search box , it wont show up as type. Obviously it will depend on the system font but since you will need a dark VS to use this you will most likely use a very light font. Ive never used search in WMP12 as i always navigate by album. Still a pain
Going to go through my default wmploc.dll and try and find the white area in the burn list menu as i must have messed it up because i cant find it at all. Same as the search box.
Trying to work out how to swap the glow on the play / burn / sync buttons as well so it glows on the selected button and not the deselected ones.
The white strip ( default colour) problem we had in the burn box at the top was :
BASKET_CB_SEPARATOR - but i filled it with black ( it was a transparent image)
7805 -large glow for play /pause is for small windows player.
Colours may not be to everyone's taste but it would be easy to do a selection once the main body is complete. Sorted the stars out
