When you open favorites window with half screen, maximise it. Then close it and re-open and check. Normally, windows remembers the way the window was handled last time.

    Hello Zebdog,

Windows Explorer window's size and position all open universally the same way (size and position) as the last Windows Explorer windows was closed in Windows 7.

If it is not working for you like this, then you might see if resetting all folder view settings back to default and restart the computer to see if they may afterwards.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

I think that I have answered this issue before here in this forums... anyway just maximize the window and hold left control button down and click the close red cross top right of the window .
