    Where did you get it from? In my 'picture location' i have a firefox entry where all my downloaded wallpapers are kept.
    It's nowhere to be found.

    I've spent the last 15 minutes searching for it in the 'Picture Location'.

    Try searching that folder for "wallpaper" or "background".

    Okay try to download Everest.

    install it and go to Display-Desktop, there should be a value called "desktop wallpaper" with a link to your wallpaper you are using currently.

Where is Win7 wallpaper stored
in Themes and Styles

Need some help since this post is so old now. Where can I find the actual original location that should have the wallpapers stored at? I would like to now save some new ones and just starting to learn Win7. Much harder, feels like starting all over again in some cases. Thanks for any help...
I know that wallpapers are generally stored in system32/web/wallpaper, but where are the wallpaper scenes that come with the new Windows 7 themes get stored? They are not in the directory I listed above. If anyone knows, can you tell me where to look? Thanks Steve
does any one know if i was to save the updates stored in windows\SoftwareDistribution if i could use the files so i dont have to download again / put in custom install
I am using Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit on a Toshiba Laptop. I believe that I downloaded a virus. The result is that my Windows will not start up, even in SAFE MODE and all attempts to repair the operating system have failed. My intention is to transfer all my data and emails onto a memory stick...
