How to replace the integrated Windows search

    I'm glad there's other that find Windows 7's "Amazing" Search utility to be bottom-of-the-pit. Add Windows Libraries to that list, in my opinion. If you want to keep your computer safe from prying eyes, then keeping personal data away from "Libraries" is a must.
    Between Libraries and Windows search, these databases are exactly where the thieves will look if they do get in your system.
    I've used FileSearch before, as well as FileLocator. At least there are options with these programs and you don't have to take a 3-day course on how to search in Win 7.

    I use SearchMyFiles.

    Can't figure out why MS 'devolved' Search in Win7 and weirded it all up.

    It just doesn't compare to XP's creaky, antiquated boilerplate search function.

    Boilerplate can be a good thing indeed.
