Change Drive Icon sizes in Explorer
Hi Guys
I have 8 hard drives, plus DVD and USB and I run at 1600x1200 on a 21" monitor. In Explorer I want to be able to see and differentiate drives at a glance. I can assign new icons but frustratingly I cannot change the size. I would like to make the drive icons one size bigger - does anyone know if this can be done?
Brian
Hi dostm,
Click the button in the explorer bar (red bordered in pic 1) and then move the slider upward ( as in pic 2) upto the extent you like.
Hope it helps

Hi Arc
Sorry but no. That slider has no effect whatsoever on the hard drive icons which are in the left hand side pane

Easy, open up notepad put the following code in:
Code:
[autorun]
icon = /icon.ico
Save it as Autorun.inf
and make sure where it says 'save as file type' change it to * All Files.
Put you icon on the same drive, and name it icon.ico
Restart your PC, and it should have the icon you put on the drive.

Hi Uber
I already have that thanks to Microangelo. Problem is Explorer displays any drive icon as 16x16 whereas I want it to be 32x32

I can remember when it was XP, once I enlarged them; not with any system tweak, but applying a program called
FinderXer . Dont know if it warks with 7 or not
