No Screensavers in Windows 7 build 7077?

That's the same list in 7057. It's not unusual for bits and pieces to be added/removed as a build progresses. Those were Vista screensavers and they may very well be looking to add something with a 7 flair all to its' own. Who knows? We'll find out soon enough.
I seem to remember that MS didn't even release the new sounds until RTM or something there abouts...
Believe it or not that Avast screen saver should be called a "butt saver" cause it saved my rear once. See, by default their VRDB integrity database only get populated when the screen saver is running. Without the screen saver, it's ability to repair virus damage is very limited. I'm glad I was using it cause I stupidly opened an email with realtime protection disabled and it was the only way I recovered...
Interesting story, baarod....
I never use the screen saver, preferring to send my monitors into low power mode in 5 minutes of inactivity....
I'd expect that's the kind of thing they don't really finalize until the end, kind of like I wouldn't expect to see their final login screen, default wallpaper, etc. until the very end.
In the meantime, I'd expect you could pull things you've used elsewhere prior and add them manually.
(I personally hope they add the ability to have the monitor turn off / go to sleep automatically when the computer is locked with Windows-L.)
I've not tried it yet but it looks like you can still drop .scr files into the Windows or System/System32 folders. I would imagine that still works, that's how the Avast screensaver is implemented.
If only I copied those Windows 7 screen savers from my 7000 build... and use those (If it wont give me that stupid "Not a valid Win32 Application" crap)....
