How to revert Win7 Gadgets back to normal?!

So I wanted to reinstate windows 7 with the sidebar from Vista, which worked but then the flyouts of the gadgets wouldn't work, and no one has any idea how to fix it. Plus, I've already tried uninstalling/reinstalling and nothing will make the vista sidebar work properly on windows 7...

so i decided i just wanted to revert it back to normal win7 gadgets...except now the gadgets are the same size as the ones for windows vista...

so does anyone know how to make it back to their original sizes? (Originally, the gadgets on win7 were quite large) Or just reset everything so I can start fresh again?

Thank you for your help

At this point you are probably better off just restoring to before the problem existed.
