Aligning icons to the right of screen?

I much rather prefer the icons to be placed at the right of the screen instead of the left however i have to sort the icons to the left manually and sometimes an update can cause the icons to jump back to the left. Not to mention that when you update or download new files then the updated/new file will be added to the left of the screen.

Is there still no way in Win7 to automatically have icons aligned to the right?

It's not really possible to set it to the right side automatically. At least not that I've seen. You could disable Auto Arrange and that should stop them from jumping over after you've moved them.

I would however recommend Fences. Neat little program that helps to better organize your icons. I love it.

You could use one of the docks (e.g. Rocket Dock). That you can place on all sides - and even hide it. Makes for a clean desktop.
