    Pin to Taskbar, Help Please!

    Hi All.
I want to drag and drop to the taskbar in my Windows 7 Ultimate. It refuses to do so. When I drag the app (urmain.exe) "Your Uninstaller 2010" to the taskbar, the option to pin it there is missing and replaced by with a tiny red circle. The option to pin to taskbar is also missing from the right click options menu. I tried creating a shortcut to the app on the desktop and moved it to the taskbar and got the same thing. Recent Programs and Recent Items are turned on. What am I missing here?

    Hi,

What I do is make a desktop shortcut then right mouse click on it and select Pin to Taskbar. Then delete the desktop shortcut.

You also can do it by right mouse clkicking the actual file on your HD.

Thanks for the reply but I have no option in the context menu for Pin to Taskbar.

That is this site, It's the Tutorial section. So if you open the program you want, You can't right click on the icon in taskbar and "pin this program to taskbar" ?

Here you go, I just tried it...

The reason you can't pin it to the taskbar is because the shortcut has the word "uninstall" in it. Rename the shortcut removing the word "uninstall" and then you can pin it to the taskbar. I had the same problem with Revo Uninstaller. Took a while to find the reason on the web.

Thank you Guntmeister. I was so focused on the difficult that I neglected the simple. That worked like a charm.

I don't see a link to mark this as solved, so if a Mod happens to come across this thread, please mark it solved. Thank you.

Guntmeister, you got repped. Good catch!
