Taskbar On top

You shouldn't need to use any application to fix this issue. It's supposed to just work as intended. When the full app takes over there should be no overlap of the taskbar, obviously this is wrong. I have several machines using the same build of Windows 7 Ultimate and I'm only having issues with 1.

My HP Pavilion, Gateway, XPS One, Dell Latitude E6400 and Dell Latitude D630 have no issues but my Vostro 330 just recently has had this problem when running anything in Full Screen. There's a mix of AMD/Intel and Nvidia/Intel/AMD.

They are all up to date and run the same applications. It seems like this could be something related to the video driver. Which is odd since it shouldn't, but then again I've seen drivers affect windows theme issues. Here's what I'm thinking.. OSRI!

I don't see any other way out of it. I doubt the update did this. I've got known good systems with the same software.. the only variable is drivers.

Hey guys theres lots of people asking on this site and the program recommended no longer works
but I found a solution it was posted briefly on the disable taskbar program thread but an admin deleted the thread idk why?

Anyways for everyone else that has this problem i found a solution!!

Download rammichael.com/7-taskbar-tweaker

Right click the 7TT icon on the taskbar after run -> Advanced options -> click disable_topmost ->

enter 2 (from 0) -> click apply and ok

*note the program has to run for the fix to work so set it to run at startup during install

This program does lots of things but this will let your taskbar stay in place and allow it to be covered by windows.

Nope, never been that way, think you refer to fullscreen/borderless when a window however needs to use the space the taskbar is on to fully display however the task bar is by default covering bits.

Thanks futureairways for the fix to this annoying problem with the taskbar. I have my taskbar auto hide to give me more screen space but there were lots of tray icons which kept demanding attention every few minutes and really distracting me while I am doing other things. These icons are utterly useless such as Notepad++ launcher which takes over from Notepad so that Notepad++ opens txt files. There is meant to be a way to install it so that the tray icon does not show, which I did have working but it no longer will install that way. Besides, there are other icons which also seem to think that they are sooooo important and keep demanding that I click them every few minutes. They are totally irrelevant and of no importance whatsoever.

The best part about it is that taskbar tweaker I already have and use, mainly to add seconds display to the windows clock and I did not realize that it could keep the taskbar below other windows. Now it all stays at the bottom out of my way until I press the left windows key. BTW I have the clock at the bottom of my browser statusbar with flipclock extension.
