Heck yeah, I love what Generator posted. This goes nicely with Stardock's Objectdock.
To fix that full size windows, set taskbar to auto-hide before activating hidetaskbar and you'll have full screen windows.

The solution that worked for me actually ended up using a different program (Taskbar-Hide). Generators program might work though, i haven't tested with it since I took steps to disable taskbar popups.
disable taskbar always on top
Generator, thank you a lot for these two „wonders” :)
I tried both Generator's and Prisoner's fixes and they would work once but then the taskbar would start up again and I would have to relaunch the hiding program. In the end I stumbled upon this .exe in the rocketdock miscellaneous add-ons and tried it. After adding it to the registry at hotkeycurrentuser\software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\run and runningit, it worked like a charm and the best bit was that it would consistently and repeatedly close the taskbar, not just once. Hope this helps
Good find! I was having intermittent issues with the task-bar reappearing when certain programs were running. The program you linked seems to have resolved it.
Thanks!
You guys may want to check out Taskbar Eliminator by Aviassin. It can be set to start with Windows, auto hides the Taskbar, gives you hot keys to show/hide the Taskbar & a hot key to it's settings. You can still access the start menu using the Windows key & it allows apps the use of the whole screen.
Please, please make a version in which it's hidden by default and in which you don't have to press OK. Your app is the only one that's perfect, except for that little "issue".
(I tried using autohotkey script to confirm the OK dialog and to send Windows key + Enter, but it doesn't work, don't know why.)
Hi,
If I may be allowed a little bit of self promotion, I've been working on a taskbar hiding app as well. You can find it here:
