Directory with pictures - how to disable pics preview?

Hello. I have directory with pictures and I set displaying large icons. It's very annoying to see this dir with thumbs of pictures inside. Can I disable it?

ps Can I set default folder icon from XP in 7?

Yes you can disable thumbnails.

Start > Right Click Computer > Advanced System Settings > Advanced Tab > Performance Box > Settings Button > Custom > Uncheck Show Thumbnails Instead of Icons

To replace the default folder icon:

It disables preview of all media files. I want to remove thumbs in folder only.

Hello Bernard,

A workaround is to change only that one particular folder's icon instead.
