how to get date and time to show up on a one line taskbar? all the tutorials i have seen are for the two line bigger task bar.

I don't know of a tweak that will do that and doubt that there is one. I use an app by StoicJoker TClock. It works well for me.

You can create a custom long time format. HHMM mm/dd/yy

Date and time strings are separate in Windows 7 and Vista.

Did you try? I did and failed. Give me a minute. I did this before, I believe.

OK. My old XP reg hack may not work. I will only know on reboot and the baby is watching Dora on the other monitor.

It did not work. I entered the format string in the registry.

I guess I kept a copy of StoicJoker's clock in my archive for good reason.
