    Wobbly Windows and Cube effects

    Hi all
Anybody been able to get the "Wobbly windows" and Cube effects like the Linux Compiz / Beryl package(s) - works in most Linux distros or is it well nigh impossible to do with windows.

I like the Cube idea a lot - once you get used to it it's suprisingly useful for switching applications etc.

    Cheers

I specifically DO NOT want my desktop to look like any form of Loonix. That wobbly window junk caused one guy to go into seizures -- I'll have to find the link...

    Hi
thanks for the link BUT :

These sites are always "SNEAKWARE" as they show a "Free Version" - but when you download it you'll find that it's still a time limited version of the "PRO" (i.e PAY FOR) version with less features.

Reading the site you would assume that there are 2 different versions a FREE one and a PAY FOR ONE.

That's of course what they want you to believe.

I DO NOT EVER BUY FROM SNEAK AND NAGWARE SITES. IF YOU DEVELOP SOFTWARE SPECIFY UP FRONT THAT IT'S A PAY PRODUCT AND THE FREE VERSION IS ONLY TIME LIMITED ETC ETC.

If you do it openly you might get more customers.

Not only do I NOT buy from these type of sites i try and ensure others don't either.

I REALLY HATE THIS TYPE OF SELLING. Sorry for Caps but I really do get MAD at this.

    Cheers

I don't see anywhere on the site where it says "FREE" it clearly states it is "Trial".

Maybe that one guy should have disabled dektop effects...

Unfortunately all the different Windows versions of spinning cubes etc are just plain buggy and downright bad.

I was secretly hoping MS would have incorporated the multiple desktops + effects into Seven because it is a very useful feature once tailored.

Wobbly Windows may not be productive, but they do add a bit of spice to the desktop

I am still getting used to the *regular* Windows 7 desktop and it's effects lol.

I have a new set of desktop wallpapers to post but I am not sure how Gothic art will be taken here....

I am not so sure I want to be playing with special effects - yet. My machine can surely handle it, but still....

Hey, Johngalt, post your wallpapers. This forum especially seems to love such things.

Just say you like that lady on NCIS -- you know the intelligent one who wears the large dog collar - studs and all - and are trying out some NCIS wallpapers.

Actually there are some bars in the centre of Manchester where the MEN seem to like wearing that clobber as well -- sure it's the same in a lot of other places.

    - so I'm sure posting these wallpapers won't be a problem.

I prefer this to "dog collars" however

    Cheers
