    Gadgets, custom DPI, pink outline

Hello all, went through every post in this tread looking for answers (and because I wanted MORE gadgets, lol). There were older posts I didn't want to bump. 1st one people didn't know reason for problem, and 2nd one people didn't have answer to fix (if possible:

    https://www.sevenforums.com/gadgets/2...k-outline.html

    https://www.sevenforums.com/gadgets/2...ows-7-dpi.html

Now the guy in the 2nd post has it right. on SOME gadgets, a custom DPI (anything over 100%, even 101%) causes a pink outline, or sometimes just the corners on rounded gadgets.

    My desktop, at 113%

    At 100%

As you can see only the HWMonitor gadget displays like this. I'd love for it to display as it does at 100%, but would rather have my 113% for readability on this 1920 x 1200 desktop. And this gadget is customizable for text size, placement, and color, etc.

So, I know what causes it...now how can I fix it? I know sergiogarcia9 has posted gadgets, and see his name here, and am hoping he, or someone, anyone knows how to alter files, how, etc., or...?

I'm going to post the same thing at Virtual Customs so Mark and the others can have a go at this question too. I'll share any answers, thoughts between the two, if any.

Thanks in advance, hoping for any help, and also any tute for altering gadgets in general, if possible. A Guy

No one has any ideas? It obviously has to do with the DPI, but why some display fine at different DPI, and some don't... A Guy

Well, at least someone is getting something out of this thread, lol. BTW, if you haven't already figured it out, it's pink because you are using something other than 100% DPI. A Guy

My desktop is set at 100% DPI, so in my case I think it's something to do with the text padding for that particular line within the gadget itself. On the righthand side the text appears to overlap the gadget border which I think is the cause.
I guess I should make a post on the CoreTemp forum but it is a very minor bug!

Anyway, thanks for the wallpapers, (+1 rep).

    Hi A Guy

Sadly, I don't have a 'fix' for your problem but just in case you haven't discovered this I thought I would post:

It seems that the display settings prefer the percentages to be in 25s - by this I mean that the gadgets are fine at 100% and 125% but not at say 115%. I got exasperated with the pink outline at 180% and after trying various settings settled for 175% which although a custom setting, the gadgets display properly. Question is - is 125% too big a display for you?

Sorry its not a fix - I would love to be that techie!

Welcome to Seven Forums Gadgetgirl :). Thanks for the info, it does indeed go away at 125. Looks like some gagdets are designed for the various default settings, but not custom settings. Interesting. Thanks again. A Guy
