    How to change Explorer Background color?


    I need help, i have downloaded a theme and the ONLY thing i want to change is the white background..

    can anyone give/make a quick tutorial on how to change the background color of explorer??

    It's what I used. Worked well but it was like finding a needle in the haystack.

    You need a Custom theme.

    If all you want to change is the background color in Windows Explorer:

    • Right click the Desktop select Personalize
    • Select Windows Colors
    • Select the Advanced Appearance Settings... link
    • In the Dropdown List select Window
    • You'll see a Color1 Box chance that color

    That should do it.

    you can use one of those two tutorials in post 69 to enable custom themes and browse deviantart.com for custom themes.

    This option has not worked on the windows explorer background color any of the six or seven times I tried it. It works fine on other programs, such as Mozilla Thunderbird, but not directly on windows explorer!
