    How To Change HDD Icons

i have icon packager, but the problem is when i find an icon such as this hdd_mount icons, free icons in Crystal Project

it works but when i set the icon sizes to be viewed as Extra Large it only shows it small because Icon Packager only supports .ico how can i use the HD png format to make it bigger?

i want them to be able to be this big, but with a PNG HD Image

    Hello Collin,

This tutorial below can help show you how to change a drive icon to whatever icon that you like. You will need to use a 256x256 pixel .ico files and not a .png file though.

You can use the free trial version of Axialis IconWorkshop to make it easy to convert the PNG files to ICO files.

    Hope this helps,

In your screenshot the choose a drive is not selected, did you get an error when selecting a drive as well? I used it with no issue, changed my icons, and so am unsure why you have the problem

P.S. Colin, search here for hard drive, chose the Vista download, that will give you the large ico type:

solved the problem on my own, the site i get my icons from, u can download in PNG, ICO and some other random ass format. you can also select the image size, so when an icon i want shows up i just select 252x252, download and apply with icon packager. :P
