WindowBlinds Skins Vs. Windows 7 UI

Hey there. I want to know if people out there really like their Windows skins or if they are customizing the look of their PC with WindowBlinds, etc. Are people bored of the same old. maybe trying to get skins that looks like EVEN, Mac OS X. I liked the Vista taskbar and system tray but not in Windows 7 >> so far. It wouldn't be so bad to have more 3D stuff. Finally, I would like to see the next Windows Media Player released soon, with a great UI as well.

Let me know when I can get the Windows Media Player "12".

    Hello unisol.

Regarding skins: have a look at the tutorial; at the link below. Not really what you're asking; but it opens endless possibilities.

Out of curiosity, have you used windows 7 personally? I ask since it only says you are running vista ultimate. I personally prefer the new taskbar, even if I set it to use small icons and show labels. It may perhaps not look any better from a simple screen shot, but I believe in actual live use it is quite prettier, thanks to the glowing effect, animations, and the remaining transparency even when the window is maximized. Although to each his or her own ^_^

I personally wouldn't mind some more 3D stuff either though. Functional effects, and some smoother animations in some instances.

One aesthetic thing I would love would be for them to make it so that when you use Alt+Tab, all the windows except for the higlighted one become transperent, lke in aero peek.

Also, I currently don't find much use for flip 3D except for showing off pretty effects to non PC saavy friends lol. I would prefer if the flip 3D input was replaced with the aforementioned effect.

I dont get why they dont pretty up the vista basic theme for when aero is turned off for like gaming or w/e. Its pretty horrendous >.<

But im not really complaining, 7 is overall quite is pretty =]

I'm not using anything other than what is already in Seven. I use the desktop slide show. As Ted suggested, it gives plenty of variety for me. All I ever did to Vista was to change desktops fairly often. Tried rocketdock for a bit in Vista. Cool, but after a few days it was just redundant and I uninstalled it. The new task bar is nice and more functional at the same time. I'm happy with that, for now anyway. :)

I use switcher 2.0 instead of Flip-3d. More useful.

7 is quite pretty, but will get boring soon. As soon as it's mainstream, start looking for theme patches and custom themes. It's one of the first things I do with a fresh Vista installation.

I personally don't like Window Blinds because a)It's not free and b)Who needs extra apps running?

Fingers crossed for more 3D stuff though.
