    icon pack .. start orb

hey guys im triyng to instal alien ware icon pack taht use mr grimm installer and its not working. The instal start correctly but during the instal it says that there is no extention in the d:/blablabla where the files are and after that the install goes to the end like it should and after that i restart. But after the restart i dont see the icons even if it says that they are there. If it has somthing to do i have istal a theme (blue moon) from mr grimm and it worked like a charm. Ive also read somthing about erasing some file in sys32 but im not sure about that so any help would be apreciated

    thx

No offense, but did you follow the instuctions to the letter in the readme file? Mark states very clearly a few things:

IT IS IMPORTANT THAT 'USER ACCOUNT CONTROL' IS FULLY DISABLED BEFORE
    TRYING TO INSTALL OR UNINSTALL!!!

    CREATE BACKUPS!
    ---------------
It's HIGHLY recommended that you backup the files yourself to a safe
    location before proceeding.
The install does create backups and a System Restore Point but if
something was to go wrong (like a power failure during running) you then
    have another way out!

The files required for backing-up are as follows:
    (32Bit)
    x:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll

    (64Bit)
    x:\Windows\System32\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\System32\imagesp1.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\imageres.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\shell32.dll
    x:\Windows\SysWOW64\imagesp1.dll

    RESTARTS ARE IMPORTANT
    ----------------------
You MUST restart after installing/un-installing, The scripts will ask you
when they have finished their work.
Please restart ASAP after running, the scripts shutdown some services and
the only way to guarantee all is running again is to restart the system.

I know Mr.Grim is a member here, but don't know how often he visits, you'd be best to post in the icon forum at Virtual Customs and see if he can help you. A Guy
