Might wanna change that poll question! At the moment the only possible answer is "Yes, I do like or dislike them!" Only the totally apathetic can answer "No"

Windows7 Ultimate 64bit

With the trend of separating UI to OS core processes, using "animations" should increase system response (logically). Though I still dumbfounded by those who disable Aero on Aero capable systems, the UI subsystem on separate sub process/hardware set is much better than GDI+ subsystem, IMHO...

Windows 7 Pro 64bit build 7601 SP1

I didn't realize so many love to see your windows swoosh open and close. All the pretty fading in and out. What'd you call me dunfiddlin? Just kiddin. Kinda reminds of the scene from Shaw shank. "How could you be so obutse?" I wouldn't go so far as to say I'm apathetic. I like pretty colors and animations, just not when I want instantaneous access to my folder. I just turned all that on again to see what it was like for a moment. Still annoying.

A few animations and shortcuts not working
A few shortcuts, such as Win+Home, don't work. In addition, a few animations aren't being displayed - a program being launched from the taskbar, the taskbar mouseover "glow" that follows the cursor, and the taskbar window preview fade-in effect. Others, such as opening/closing windows, windows...

No restore up/down animations in Aero?
Is my PC misbehaving or are there actually no restore up/down animations in Aero? Windows just snap directly into full screen and back to window mode with no animation whatsoever. How did they miss that? The minimize/maximize animations are so beautiful, why didn't they do the same with restore...
