Would someone crop a custom boot up sound for me?

I hope I am posting this in the correct section of the forum. It's related to sound but technically a customization.

I am in love with the song "This How We Do It" by Montell Jordan (no, not the talk show host )

I would love to have my computer start-up sound be the chorus of the song which is "This is how we do it". They say it all throughout the song. I have tried cropping that part of the song but I just cant seem to make it sound, well, professional I guess.

This is your mission, if you choose to accept it.

1.) please provide me with that portion of the song for the windows start-up sound.
2.) maybe fade out the end? Maybe fade in and fade out? (your call)
3.) maybe clean it up a bit or do whatever you think is necessary to make it work well as the start-up sound.
4.) just one use of the chorus, no need to hear it more than once

p.s. Try not to laugh at me too much

With Audacity you could easily do it yourself.

Thank you for taking a stab at it, Phil.

It's good but it's not exactly what I was thinking of. It just seems to end a bit too abruptly and it also seems to start to quickly and at full steam. I don't really know what to tell you to do with it, but maybe fading it in and out is better?

Here's my stab at it if you'll pardon my musical pun. :) There is four slightly different versions for you to choose from included in the one zip.

I used a mix of the normal tune, the instrumental and the accapella to avoid cutting Jordans lyrics out half way through a line (his voice overlaps the start and end beats of the 'loop').

I had to upload it elsewhere because it's just a tad bigger than the max upload size so I've upped it to a couple of file share sites so pick your fav one to download from.

That was my problem but I am but a mere beginner with Audacity. What prog did you use Generator?
Glad you got it sorted RoloDman, I was using you as a sort of guinea pig and I amused myself (!?!) for an hour!!

I used Sony Acid Pro 7 for it Phil, Acid is more of a sequencer if you will rather than a editor. I use it alot for remixing my own tunes just for the fun of it.

I also use Sony Sound Forge for making any loops I need when remixing (it wasn't needed for this though). I've been cutting loops for about 20 years now and to me I'm still not that good, it isn't something that can be picked up overnight but if you're into your music it's well worth sticking it out. :)
