    Dual monitor - Activate shortcut

    Hey hey peeps,

I use dual monitors quite a bit, reasearching, photoshop, etc...

When i want to turn on the second monitor, i have to go into Nvidia's control panel to proceed with this.

Now Nvidia is a bit slow, then i have to click apply and then click yes to confirm.

My question, can i make a shortcut on the desktop to do all that for me.

Don't mind how, whether it be a notepad .sys file or a command under command prompt.

    Thanks a bunch

I know Ultramon can turn on and off a display very quickly but it is a paid program with a 30 day trial,
    Realtime Soft UltraMon

Display Fusion should be able to do the same and they have a free version as well as a paid version,
DisplayFusion: Multi-Monitor Taskbar and Desktop Wallpaper*|*Binary Fortress Software

So is this the only way, to install software.

Well, i wil give the latter choice a go tonight when i get home as at work at the mo.

    Thanks Zepher

I just installed Display Fusion and it is nice and all but didn't see any options for what you want,
Ultramon has the feature you want and can be assigned as a hot key.

Ok tehn Zepher, I did'nt get a chance to install last night as did not get a chance to jump on the PC. But i will try Ultramon, especially if there are hot keys as that is more than what i wanted and will be ten times quicker.

    Thanks again Zepher.

As an update, i tried ultramon but obviously they charge. Sooo.... I searched multimonitor on google and came up with a fan-dooby-tastic peice of software that not only allows me to create a shortcut, a hotkey and a RIGHT-CLICK OPTION!!!!!

    Murgee Dual Monitor Software Monitor

Click the first download (word) hyperlink. Completely free, and look to do some other bits of software.

Thanks all the same Zepher for the help, you led me on the right path.
