How can I click and drag to move programs on the taskbar?

    You found a winner this time! A Guy I still remember something on this idea in one of the guides however where you would see duplicate icons for each window or app open. I was also trying to find the same thing in the tutorial section however to see the same effect as you can see in the image here at work.

All of a sudden I cannot click and drag to highlight text, to move a photo, or to crop an image. This is a problem in Microsoft Word, email, Adobe Photoshop etc, therefore I think it is a windows 7 issue.
Is there a method/hack or a 3rd-party program that allows the user to hide the taskbar by dragging its top border line downwards, after un-locking the taskbar? I remember I could do that under Win9x.
So a week or two ago my click and drag suddenly changed from click+drag=blue highlight to the click+drag= dashed line highlight (like if you were to use WinXP and wanted to highlight your desktop) It didn't bother me TOO much but I miss the look of the blue box, and I don't know how to change it...
In Vista and older versions, if I right clicked on a program in the taskbar I could then move the mouse up ever so slightly to click "close." Now there is a weird little "box" that pops up instead of a menu, and I have to move my mouse significantly further to get to "close." Sounds trivial,...
