did not work for me either.
did not work for me either.
I don't like the 'Albook' icons but the theme is nice. The Author posts this help on DevArt, it;s for Vista but the suggestion is it works for 7 too. Will probably need to think laterally.
Vista Visual Style Help by ~sweatyfish on deviantART
Has any one tried this emergedesktop.org :: View topic - I've gone win7.
thats real different, i am afraid to give it a whirl - could be great though especially with a black type of wallpaper
Im looking for a black shellstyle just like http://alkhan.deviantart.com/art/Ver...0532?offset=75. Unfortunatly its only for x86, did anyone find something like this for x64? Would be awesome.

Worked for me as well. Why wouldn't it?

look 3 posts up - again
I fixed the link.
Incidentally, I purchased AveStyler specifically so I could use SevenMaxClearLiveBlack for 7RC by ~molinarosp on deviantART without having to modify any system files - and I did it b/c I tend to play. A lot. As in try out software left and right. And the only way I can sometimes fix glitches is using SFC - which then replaces modified system files with originals.
It rocks.
(Note - The icons for the card reader are manually created by me - using the native icons from shell32.dll. It is pretty easy, as long as you know which letters get which type of card....)
I bought Ave's Vista Style Builder as well. Do you know of a decent tutorial for using it? Or better yet, some kind of break-out image of Start Menu, Task Bar, etc. with labels naming the different parts?
I'm currently trying the "I wonder what this one does..?" method, but its slow going.
I didn't buy the style builder - rather I bought AveStyler - it allows you to load 3rd party styles without the need to patch your system files - by running as a process (service) in your memory.
