Q: Ok to change "Registered owner"?

    Q: Ok to change "Registered owner"?


    Will I run into any problem if I change the Registered Owner (and Registered Company) for my system? (to fix a typo!)

    I did see that some Registry installer sections for non-MS products have picked up the current Registered Owner, so will contact those companies separately.

    Nothing will happen, expect that you own all the files and can edit them now.

    The registeredowner and registeredcompany keys are safe to edit, (assuming you are Ok with registry editing), and have nothing to do with file ownership
