Change some folders to "Medium Icons" mode

    Hello

I was wondering if anyone knows how to use the "Explorer.exe" to make sure to change the view of several directories (with subdirectories within them) ONLY.

I do not want to change the view of all directories.
I would like only 4 or 5 directories (and subdirectories) are visible in "Medium Icons" mode, and that the rest of my directories are in "Details" mode.

I can do but after some time (one hour ... one day .. one week ...) all my folders, including "Medium Icons" mode, are all Details mode
    .

I know we can change the mode for each directory, but it is much too long.
I want to change their directory AND subdirectories in one operation, without changing the view mode of the other directories.

The directories that I want to set "Medium Icons" mode is on the "Desktop" (Windows 7 64-bit Ultimate).

    Thank you

    Try this:

In the following, assume a folder named "Parent", with subfolders named "A", "B", "C" and "D".
    1. Open Explorer
    2. Navigate to the folder named "Parent"
    3. Right-click an unused part of the folder view, then select "Properties"
    4. Click the Customize Tab
    5. Select the appropriate view type (General Items, Pictures, etc) from the "Optimize this folder for" dropdown box
    6. Make sure the "Also apply this temple to all subfolders" is checked
    7. Click OK
    8. Make attitional view changes, such as icon size, or visible columns
    9. Click "Organize" in the top left of Explorer
    10. Click "Folder and search options"
    11. Click "View"
    12. Click Apply To All Folders"
    13. Click OK
If I have misunderstood what you want, and expect (for example) both "Icons" and "Details" views for a single folder, then the answer is no - it cannot be done. One Folder View setting per folder.
And the desktop can only be set to Icons view of varying sizes...
