    Help!!!! Default icons

Ok so im new here and i have a problem hopefully , you can help me, i installed a icon replacer from deviantart called a token installer it changes all you icons to token icons, which work ok, but when i unistalled it my default Local disk icon and usb icons are changed i have tried rebuilding ico cache and evrything, however if i was to upload a file and it brings up the window the icons are normal
you can see on the left hand side that the icons are default and on the left they are changed, this really doesn't affect anything but i am very picky and get annoyed at this, so anyone with and suggestions would be much appriciated.

    Thnx Jack

Hello Jack, and welcome to Seven Forums.

You can use the tutorial below to change the drive icons to any icon you like from within the registry so that the changed will remain and not be dependant on some 3rd party program.

    Drive Icon - Change

    Hope this helps,

That's the common thing, with icons installers in windows 7. They bring icon cache in an unstable situation on uninstallation .

Yes you are true. Anything like icon cache rebuilt would not work in this situation. As far as I know, There is one wat to fix it, without having a repair install . That is Icons- Change Using resource Hacker .

I am attaching Icons for icon group 32, 35,36, and 37. Fix them using resource hacker.

I think, and I've said it elsewhere... ResHack throws this up because it's unable to properly display an icon above 48x48, not that it can't actually cope.
