    loaddrv doesn't work

I've used loaddrv.exe to install .sys files in WinXP. It does't work in Windows 7. Is there some way to install a .sys file in Win 7? Thank you.

No. Drivers require protect mode in 7 unless you disable it. Note that the loaddrv.exe I know is for Cygwin and WINE testing so there may be many other approved ways to load the driver you want as long as it's signed. Otherwise, you need to have the user approve the unsigned driver. Without signing, you can convince mom and pop to install any rootkit you want off Facebook so it's best to do the right thing and sign your drivers on the Windows platform.

Thanks for the information. Does this mean that I really can install the driver (dlportio.sys) somehow if I approve it somehow?
