Driver causes BSOD

    I have downloaded the newest drivers from the ASUS site and they cause the same problems. I have been searching the internet to no avail for older drivers in the hope that they would work. I have even asked ASUS directly but it doesn't seem like there are any older drivers.

    The fact that they worked fine previously and on another identical computer suggests to me that I must have somehow messed up the system and that's what is preventing the drivers from working.

    I ran sfc.exe /scannow and there were a couple of issues but they were with .wmv files in the sample folder; nothing essential (as far as I know).

    Can you tell me what the vendor and device ID are for the sound chip?

    1. Use System Restore to revert back BEFORE you installed those new drivers.
    2. Please upload the .dmp files in a .zip file.
