Standard VGA Graphics Adapter - Sony Vaio
When I first downloaded Windows 7, the resolution was something like 1024 x 786 (or whatever the number order is). I was told to update my video card, but since I can't afford to do that, I dealt with it. It was annoying, but I got used to it.
A few months later, I turned on my computer and it had magically fixed itself. The resolution was back to normal, my DVDs would play, yaddah yaddah. It stayed like that for a few more months.
Then, yesterday, I turned my computer on and it was back to having a tiny resolution. It tells me I need to update my video card driver, but when I did, it said that it was fine. Now I'm lost because I've done everything I know how to do whether it be updates or installs.
I'd really like to avoid forking over the cash (that I don't have) for a new video card so anyone knows how fix this problem on a Sony Vaio PCG-6L1L (VGN-SZ230P) (an ancient computer, I know), can you please help (with step by step instructions if possible)?
