I have not read every responce, but 99.9% of all laptops have the bios set to allow CD-DVD boot. I have been able at different times to salvage a BAD BIOS install, with.
    1. copy all the required files onto cd that are need to FLASH the BIOS.
    2. using the emergency open switch- open the CD insert the flash bios disk.
    3. power on the computer, and when it boots into the cd you can flash your bios. correctly that way.
    4. If you carefully watch, when you power up the system checks all items , hd, floppy, cd, usb, etc etc, and if 1 of them fails on pre boot test. the system fails. always before you see the BIOS flash on the screen.

depends on system, and how it is set to boot. (sometimes the manual give you a simple method, like F2 or some other key.

Full details on the Laptop would help. Intel A22m uses F2. and will flash bios via the USB port.
Okay which files do i need and how do i need to copy them to the disk (i know how to burn it but do i need to rename them or what?) and the keyboard doesn't get any power so pressing any key won't help. Also the usb-drive doesn't get any power.

A failed BIOS update is the worst thing it could happen to you and I dont think the warranty cover this kind of thing(Its like overclocking - its your fault)! Its very hard to repair the PC! I believe you need two identical motherboards! Start the flashing process on the good motherboard, swap the chipset with the broken one, complete flashing and then swap the chipset back! As you can see its not that easy especially with laptops!

Well it should fall under the warrenty because its not my fault, the hp health thing advised me to update it and i followed all the rules including the right installer.

If it's a shop you need to send it to, just call them and explain the situation. Make sure that the trip will be worthwhile - which I'm sure it will be, but calling is a good idea.
