    HarrisIntersil PRISM 802.11g Wireless Adapter

    Hi

I finally got Windows 7 on my laptop, but there is no wireless connections visible. I have tried to google, but usually the problem is that they can't connect, but for me I can't even see WIFI connections.

So I used Everest to get my adapters name and have been looking for the driver since, but only one I found was available only by paying. Harris PRIMS 802.11g Wireless Adapter Driver Download here it is.

Here is the closest I've got to my problem amilo-forum.com • Topic - Amilo L1300 WLAN not visible .

My laptop is Fujitsu Siemens Amilo L1300.

edit: I now get that windows 7 doesn't accept some of the old adapters, this is true? If so then why?

edit2: I'll switch back to XP then. Money well spent on Windows 7 .

Hi ineedhelpls, welcome to the forums, here is a link to the drivers ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp22501-23000/sp22649.exe, they are for xp only so compatibility mode is required ,or you could try installing through windows update and point to where you have extracted the files and install that way

I don't think I'd try XP drivers unless they also specified Windows 7 compatibility. Have you tried using a wired connection and running Windows Update?

I am sorry, I don't know what does "wired connection and running Windows Update" mean?

I just put XP Home on my computer and for some reason I don't have WIFI(not visible here either) here either, although I had it in the morning before format for Windows 7...

So I am thinking I used to have the driver but now I can't remember where I got it...

Now I tried the driver you gave but this didn't help. And I think it was the wrong driver as well. It was HP, but my computer is Fujitsu Siemens. Maybe I am wrong, but this has been driving me nuts, this no wifi thing...

I downloaded from the link you gave the wlan driver, but when I double click on the exe nothing happens. I checked task manager - it appears as a process but disappears after 5 seconds and nothing happens.

And yes, my fn + f1 is on and the light on Wlan is on.

maybe it helps if I give Everest information or something?
