    Try this


    For me the problem was apci.sys. In device manager look for battery. I un-installed
    everything except ms composite now I have no problems. This is on Acer Aspire 1640.
    What is wrong here.
    Microsoft doesn't make Vista (windows 7) drivers regarding
    the System Management Bus Host Controller (ACPI0001)
    the Smart Battery Subsystem (ACPI0002)
    Acer isn't going to make a bios upgrade for this laptop

    So check out this site if you want to create your own bios upgrade....

    BSOD " Driver Power State Failure"


    Hi, I to have been having issues but just today it seems with the BSOD, I have been getting the Driver Power State Failure every 30 to 60 minutes starting today, I have had maybe 1 or 2 of them in the last 3 months but today is non stop, I have tried to read the dump files but no such luck, I am running Windows 7 Premium 64 Bit. please if anyone can help I will enclose my mini dump files on Skydrive and if someone can read it and let me know the issue.My Mini Dump Files
