    chipset drivers for nforce4m-a (v3.0)

i have an older motherboard so im not sure if these drivers will be compatible. i have the IDE chipset drivers for it, im just having a problem installing them. ive tried doing it through the device manager>>update driver software but it keeps telling me device is up to date.

Try device manager>update driver software>Let me pick>have disk>browse to the folder you have extracted the drivers to.
It's a couple more steps that might work, Fabe

There is little to nothing to be gained from using the Nvidia IDE driver over the one that Windows installs by default. As far chipset drivers for the old NF4 other than the default Windows drivers the best you're going to get is the last Vista driver,

    NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.23 WHQL

as Nvidia has declared it EOL and dropped support for it.

well im having weird problems with both of my dvd drives and i know theyre not dying and im really stumped to what the problem is. and this is something im trying out because for some reason windows recognizes my drives as cd drives. not sure if thats normal or not.

update: it did update the pata/ide drivers but unfortunately it did not detect my ide drivers. im thinking its not a driver problem.
