netr28x.sys and the unknown driver?
I've been getting the BSOD from every which way and think I have most all of it taken care of (Norton's is a nasty, nasty piece of work). Problem is I'm still showing one driver that caused a BSOD, netr28x.sys, and from what I can find it points to a RaLink RT2860 Series Wireless LAN Card. Problem is I don't have that card. I have a Edimax 802.11n wireless card. What gives there? I'm trying to update all necessary drivers to maintain system stability, but I don't know what I'm supposed to be updating as I don't have a RaLink card. I also see that netr28x.sys can be tied up to malware. Is that a possibility? Should I just update my Edimax card driver (I'm completely lost on Edimax's site)?
I'm not tech-savvy by any stretch of the imagination and learning all this as I go so I really appreciate any help you guys can give me in layman's terms. It is very much appreciated.
