W7 build 7000 driver install
There has, so far, been no issues with drivers for 7000 for the Acer 5920gmi that I use. To disable my touchpad I installed the Synaptics driver just to disable the touchpad.
All drivers installed during installation and on first update the rest were installed. It is a perfect scenario. |

Only issue I still have is the SM Bus Controller. It doesn't have or need a driver according to Vista, but shows up as Other devices in seven and says not working no driver installed. Tried the action center troubleshooter and it said it was installing the driver, but then stopped one of the intel USB controllers. When I went to device manager the SM bus was still had a warning symbol and so did the USB controller. Rebooted and got the USB controller back, but still a no go on the SM Bus Controller.
Other than that, no probs so far. Gary |

Windows 10 Pro X64 Insider Preview (Skip Ahead) latest build

Now that this is a lot more stable, I am dumping all the stuff I have on the laptop, shrinking the partition, and then installing W7 on the TabletPC lappy - and seeing how well *those* drivers do there.
If all goes well, then I am going to have one snazzy zippy lappy. |

Should I install Build 7077 or 7000? So, I've been using Build 7000 but went back to Vista x64 because my surround sound didn't work. You think the 7077 build will fix that? It's the onboard 5.1 surround sound (asus board). Also, should I wait for the official RC or just suck it up and deal with the surround sound issue in 7000 or... |

W7 x86 build 7000 fails on install... I tried this as both an upgrade to Vista SP1 and from scratch with the same results. I install W7, everything goes well, and on the "final reboot" the system just hangs there with the new 3D Windows logo on the screen and goes no further. I tried to boot into safe mode, which kind of succeeded... |

Install Beta or keep Build 7000? Have you guys actually re-installed or fresh-installed the official ISO , or you just got your keys and added them to your Build 7000 that u already had? Is there a difference? Have you noticed? Or is it identical build? |

Build 7000 wont install! I cant get my windows 7 build 7000 to install. I have the ISO mounted to a virtual drive, and also burned it to a DVD. Each time I try to start it (while Vista is loaded), I get this error message after Copying Files and Starting Installation screens: "The unattend answer file contains an... |
