    NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT + Sony Vaio PCG-8112M problem


    I dont know how exactly this works but I just installed windows 7 (ultimate 32bit) and im trying to install my graphics card driver but it doesnt seem to work. my laptop is a Sony Vaio PCG-8112M and it says that they re not compatible or sth. Can anyone plz plz plz plz plz help me???

    Hi delilah, Welcome to the forums ,try this link Drivers | drivers for mobile cards and laptops | laptopvideo2go.com , If you have any problems with the drivers try the Vista drivers in compatibility mode Compatibility Mode

    Are you sure you have the right driver? Not trying to insult you or anything but I have that exact same graphics card and I know that the Nvidia site has many drivers to choose from just for that card alone. It might be worthwhile to double check your specs (OS x64 or x86, graphics card and your driver)

    well I found out which card I have by this progmam which tells you about your laptop specs. and I double checked everything. still nothing.
    ofc I'm not offended, and thank you for trying.. :)

    Did you try the driver I suggested?

    If yes, look at device manager and see if you have any yellow warnings.

    1st) ty for your welcoming..
    2nd) I've been on this site for the past half hour, I found the right driver, I downloaded and I think that I'm supposed to replace an inf file or sth but I dont quite get it. Not yet at least.. Thanks anyway though..

    well, still no luck. the message that comes up is in greek so i cant really translate it, but its sth about no compability between hardware and nvidia settings and that the installation has to end.

    That driver is specific for your hardware. And you did check for errors in device manager?
